Closed Cases in Convergence
Cases may be closed by clicking the button 'Close Case' in the edit case form, or by clicking the 'Close' link for a case in a case list. In either case, you will be asked to confirm before the case is marked closed. Closed cases do not appear in normal case lists, and are not part of the case inventory. Case searches do not find closed cases unless 'Include Closed Cases' is checked in the search form. To access closed cases, you must click 'Closed Cases' in the popup menu.
The list of closed cases appears, shaded brown so it's clear that this is not an active case list. This list has all the features of an active case list. The list can be reordered, case details can be examined, and case file directories accessed. One difference is that where the 'Close' link is on an active case list, there is a link 'Reopen' to allow any cases that were closed in error, or for any reason reactivated, to be placed back in the active case list. Convergence cases may not be deleted, only set aside as closed, so that historical case data remains available.
