Deleted File Management
When an uploaded file in Convergence is deleted by a user, it is not immediately removed from the server, but is marked as being deleted in the database. This makes it possible to recover wrongly deleted files, but also means these files take up cloud storage space in the server still. By clicking 'Deleted Files' in the 'Administration' section of the menu, you can reach the deleted files management page. This feature may only be accessed by the admin user.
To permanently remove files, check the files you want to delete, the click 'Erase Files:' to remove them. To restore accidentally deleted files, choose the file(s) to restore by checking them, and click 'Restore Files:'. Restored files will again appear in case file directories. Erased files are gone from the server and may not be recovered by Convergence.
A deleted file will have '(old version)' after its name if it has been replaced with another file of the same name. There is a sort menu so you can sort to find files by name or identify the largest files. The file size shown is the uncompressed size of the file at upload, and is in bytes. The file may be compressed to a smaller size on the server.
